Language is acquired by children all around the globe, but probably along different developmental paths, at varying rates and with varying outcomes, depending on the input provided. In this dissertation, we take a closer look at the astonishing diversity of input children grow up hearing, and we ask how this diversity matters to language acquisition. For this, we employ highly interdisciplinary methods and involve several projects.
