This thesis is concerned with the stabilization of some coupled systems that involves (thermo-) viscoelastic/elastic transmission problems and telegraph equations in bounded domains or in networks. First, we consider the stability of a system of weakly coupled wave equations with one or two local internal Kelvin-Voigt dampings located via a non-smooth coefficient in a part of the domain. First, using a unique continuation theorem, we obtain a new uniqueness result and therefore, we show that our system is strongly stable. Next, we show that the system is not always exponentially stable.
