The lack of optimization in the formulation of stabilized compacted earth is a major brake on its development as a modern building material. This PhD thesis aims at producing tools for quantification of impacts of cement composition and raw earth nature, as well as their dosages, on the performance of stabilized compacted earth block (CSEB). Firstly, a performance analysis of the cement-earth mixtures was carried out with respect to their mechanical resistance, hygroscopic properties, and durability toward water, to optimize the formulation and the curing conditions.
