A probabilistic statistical approach to the mechanical behaviour of SiC/C/SiC composites, based on the stochastic phenomena at the origin of fibre and matrix fracture, has been developed. The analysis was carried out on mini composites (raw wire on which the matrix was deposited) because of their preponderant role in the damage and rupture of the composite structure.
