The mechanical behaviour and the life time in static fatigue (60-140 MPa) at high temperature (700°C to 1200°C) in air were investigated on a 2D woven SiC/SiC composite with a multilayered interphase involving 3 or 4 PyC/SiC sequences ((PyC-SiC)4,3). The lifetime of the composite with the multilayered interphase was found to be significantly improved over that of the composites with a single PyC layered interphase.
