The word energy consumption increased in the last decades and a continues increase in the future is predicted. An effective utilization of energy is highly required due to the scarcity of fossils fuels and to the rise of greenhouse gas emissions. In this context, thermal energy storage using solid-liquid phase change materials «PCMs» is a promising solution for saving energy. It attracts a great growing interest in many applications such as buildings, thermal control of electronic devices and thermal management of Li-ion batteries. However, it is hampered by the low thermal conductivities of PCMs which limits the storage/release rate.
