During the last decade, new applications have emerged with a need for magnetometers with high resolution and low power consumption. For example, magneto-inertial navigation or autonomous sensor networks for area monitoring. To meet these needs, a new type of magnetometer based on the interaction between thin magnetized films and piezoelectric resonators has been developed. The research work carried out during this thesis aims to model and develop this technology. Therefore, a first study made it possible to identify and characterize the most relevant ferromagnetic materials for these applications.
