Métaphors of the relationship God-Israel in the Prophetic literature,historical and literary study of the viyenard (Agriculture) and the spouse (family) metaphors

L'étude de la métaphore dans la littérature des prophètes de la Bible est un chapitre important dans l'histoire de l'exégèse. La métaphore biblique utilise les effets linguistiques, rhétoriques et poétiques du langage hébraïque pour rendre plus concrète et compréhensible la portée du message à transmettre. Cette compréhension est dépendante du milieu social et culturel auquel la métaphore s'adresse. Dans ce travail nous nous sommes attachés à analyser les métaphores empruntées aux milieux agricoles et à celui de la famille, plus particulièrement la vigne et ses produits, l'amour conjugal et filial et ses développements. La vigne fait partie du paysage d'Israël et est certainement l'image la plus employée pour désigner Israël comme peuple. L'image du couple qui représente la relation Israël et son Dieu apparaît pour la première fois chez Osée (Os.1.31) et est reprise par d'autres prophètes tels Isaïe, Jérémie et Ezechiel. L'époque à laquelle ces messages ont été transmis a été longuement exposée ajoutant à l'analyse une dimension historique qui se situe comme l'aboutissement d'une longue histoire correspondant à la chute du premier Temple. Les sources et les documents utilisés sont le texte hébraïque de la Bible, des lectures rabbiniques et la méthode historico-critique.The study of metaphor in the literature of the biblical prophets is an important chapter in the history of exegesis. Biblical metaphors use the linguistic, rhetorical and poetic effects of the Hebrew language in order to give greater immediacy and intelligibility to the significance of the messages to be transmitted. The extent to which a metaphor is undertood depends on the social and cultural milieu to which it is addressed. The present study is devoted to a close analysis of the metaphors borrowed from the agricultural milieu and from that of the family, in particular the vine and its products, conjugal and filial love and the way they are developed. The vine is an integral part of the landscape of ancient Israel and is certainly the image most widely used to designate Israel as a people. The image of the couple as representative of the relationship between Israel and its God appears for the first time in Hosea (1:31) and is later taken up by other prophets such as Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel. The period during which these messages were transmitted has been submitted to extensive analysis and adds an historical dimension that stretches across a long history right through to the destruction of the first Temple.
