Les cellules sanguines de drosophile, appelées hémocytes, sont de trois types : les plasmatocytes sont les phagocytes professionnels, les cellules à cristaux sont impliquées dans les réactions de mélanisation, et les lamellocytes sont impliqués dans les réactions d'encapsulement des parasites. Dans un premier projet, nous avons analysé les activités transcriptionnelles des hémocytes de la drosophile, ainsi que suite à une infection bactérienne, par la technique des puces à ADN Affymetrix. Nous avons ainsi mis en évidence certains points importants du processus d'encapsulement. Un rôle signal des hémocytes, primordial pour le déclenchement de la réponse immunitaire, a été établi.
