Chez Vitis vinifera le potentiel aromatique du raisin est en partie constitué par des monoterpénols comme le linalol et le géraniol qui contribuent au caractère variétal des cépages aromatiques comme le muscat et le gewurztraminer. L'objectif de notre travail était de mettre en évidence les bases moléculaires de la spécificité des cépages aromatiques de vigne. Nous nous sommes basés sur l'hypothèse que la formation des monoterpénols était liée à une forte synthèse de géranyl diphosphate (GPP) et/ou à la métabolisation du GPP par des terpènes synthases.
