Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) remains a prominent disease state characterized by the recurrent collapse of the upper airway while sleeping. To date, current treatment may include continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), lifestyle changes, behavioral modification, mandibular advancement devices, and surgical treatment.
