International audienceTSN (Time Sensitive Networking) standards are arousing growing interest in the critical on-board network community because of their promise of deterministic Ethernet networking. Among these standards IEEE802.1AS allows the synchronization of network devices. This protocol achieves much greater precision than other Ethernet synchronization standard such as NTP or PTP. Thus, it paves the way for new network mechanisms, such as the Time Aware Shaper, and allows the use of applications that are more constrained in terms of synchronization.
