Julian Lane oral history interview

This is an oral history interview with Julian Lane, former mayor of Tampa, who served one term in that office from 1959 to 1963. In this interview, he discusses Tampa\u27s political environment during the 1940s and 1950s, during the Curtis Hixon and Nick Nuccio mayoral administrations. Lane describes how he decided to run for mayor, and talks about some of the issues he faced while in office, particularly urban planning, race relations, and the 1960 flood in the Lake Magdalene area
