This is an oral history interview with Holocaust concentration camp liberator William C. Galegar. Galegar was a member of the 99th Infantry Division, which liberated Muhldorf, a Dachau sub-camp, on May 3, 1945. In this interview, he describes his experiences during the Battle of the Bulge and on progress through the Rhineland. They found their first camp towards the end of March when Galegar and his squad were sent out to investigate the surrounding area and discovered a slave camp. One of the prisoners spoke English, and after briefly talking with him they reported the camp\u27s location back to their troop, being unable to do anything for the inmates. They then continued across to the Danube River and to Mühldorf
