AimsLaparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) is known to be one of the most widely performed general surgical operations. However, it is associated with an increased incidence and severity of complications especially during the period of a surgeon's proficiency-gain curve. Certain complications could be prevented by decreasing the incidence and consequences of surgeon errors.
