According to Nel, van Dyk, Haasbroek, Schultz, Sono and Werner (2004:19), organizational culture is simply the manner in which things are done in an organization. It is also known as the personality of the organization. Irrespective of what is called, the culture of the organization develops overtime, and employees are often not even aware of its existence. Organizational culture is, however, of particular importance to management because it helps them understand how employees feel about their work.
