The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee is responsible for the review and approval of all projects using animals in teaching or research. The Principle Investigator is required to complete and submit an Animal Use Proposal form prior to any animal use. Many of the AUF forms are returned to the PI by the IACUC because they are not complete or have errors. This study was initiated to determine if errors were consistent among the investigators and if errors were caused by poorly written questions; changes in the regulations and/or failure to understand the requirements
