Clothing adaptation is one of the most common and effective behavioural adaptations for achieving thermal comfort. The clothing adaptation of rural residents which differs from rural residents is seldom discussed in detail. This paper aims to investigate the influential factors for clothing insulation of rural residents in the cold region of China and to develop predictive clothing insulation models. Field surveys were carried out in 10 villages in Lankao County from December 2018 to February 2019 and from July 2019 to September 2019. Finally, 610 valid datasets were obtained.
