Hydrogels are one of the most common types of biomaterials in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. In wound healing, their use has provided access to dressings that promote a faster and more effective healing, although no single dressing is able to be used in all wounds. This work aimed at characterizing different polyurethane and poly(ethylene glycol) (PU-PEG) co-polymer hydrogel formulations and evaluating their potential as a material for wound healing. The study of the mechanical properties of hydrogels revealed a wide range of hydrogel strengths through the different formulations.
