The resilience and adaptation for the disasters caused by climate change is the most emerging trend and the need of this century. Most of the countries including Sri Lanka, the mitigative strategies used are mostly sole implementations of engineering and nature-based, with a greater gap in-between. For the fulfilment of this gap, the role of Landscape architect is vital in the planning and design stages, from micro to macro levels in development projects.
