In this study, agricultural waste, rice husk was used as an adsorbent in the oil pollution management. Thermally treated rice husk, prepared by carbonizing rice husk at 600 °C for 3 hrs, were tested for oil removal from aqueous mixtures. Solution pH, adsorbent dose and mixing time affect the degree of oil removal. COD removal efficiencies of 99% were achieved
