Even though Supply Chain Management (SCM) has been identified as a strategic tool that expands a firm's integrated behavior to incorporate customers and suppliers to be fully effective in today's competitive environment, far very few companies have achieved this. As a result, the literature suggests seven strategic level activities would gain increased performance by setting SCM in motion.
