Discussions are going on today in many forums analyzing correlations between engineering applications and environmental pollutions. As a result of that, novel concepts such as green engineering have appeared in the engineering scenario. This paper describes a procedure developed for designing a helically coiled steam generator (SG) for recovering heat from the flue gas of a furnace.
