Cardiac MRI is a noninvasive diagnostic tool using nonionizing radiation that is widely used in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Cardiac MRI depicts different prognosticating components of myocardial damage such as edema, intramyocardial hemorrhage (IMH), microvascular obstruction (MVO), and fibrosis.
