The main focus of the research is aimed at analyzing the teaching of intercultural communication, as well as teaching methods. In the Russian education system, the initiators of the study of “Intercultural Communication” were teachers of foreign languages, the study of the characteristics of cultures and practical skills in intercultural communication became necessary for effective communication with representatives of other cultures. At the moment, the discipline is taught in various areas of training which predetermined the change in the focus of teaching and the addition of the practical and descriptive nature of the discipline with the necessary theoretical generalizations and provisions.
