Online Course as a Media Product: Creation of a Multimedia Course «Intercultural Communication»

The main focus of the research is aimed at analyzing the teaching of intercultural communication, as well as teaching methods. In the Russian education system, the initiators of the study of “Intercultural Communication” were teachers of foreign languages, the study of the characteristics of cultures and practical skills in intercultural communication became necessary for effective communication with representatives of other cultures. At the moment, the discipline is taught in various areas of training which predetermined the change in the focus of teaching and the addition of the practical and descriptive nature of the discipline with the necessary theoretical generalizations and provisions. The creation of a new media product can contribute not only to the development of competencies incorporated directly into the program of the course “Intercultural Communication” but also to the formation of important meta-competencies associated with creativity, critical thinking, cooperation, teamwork.Основной фокус исследования направлен на анализ преподавания межкультурных коммуникаций, а также методики преподавания. В российской системе образования инициаторами изучения «Межкультурных коммуникаций» были преподаватели иностранных языков, изучение особенностей культур и практических навыков в межкультурном общении стало необходимым для эффективной коммуникации с представителями других культур. На данный момент, дисциплина преподается на различных направлениях подготовки, что предопределило изменения фокуса преподавания и дополнения практического и описательного характера дисциплины необходимыми теоретическими обобщениями и положениями. Создание нового медиапродукта может способствовать не только освоению компетенций, заложенных непосредственно в программу курса «Межкультурные коммуникации», но и формированию важных метакомпетенций, связанных с креативностью, критическим мышлением, кооперацией, командной работой
