Effects of Concentration and Their Impact on Innovative Activity of Regions

This article is devoted to the analysis of the theoretical and methodological approach to the study of factors of innovative development and concentration effects, as well as the determination of positive and negative concentration effects affecting innovative development at the regional level in Russia on the basis of econometric modeling. The official data of the Rosstat of the Russian Federation for 75 regions of Russia for the period of 20 years from 2000 to 2019 were used as the information base of the study. The indicator of the volume of innovative goods, works and services per 10 thousand employees was used as a dependent variable. According to the results of econometric modeling, the positive and negative effects of concentration affecting the innovative development of regional systems are determined. The obtained research results can be used to update innovative programs and strategies for innovative development at the regional level.Данная статья посвящена анализу теоретико-методологического подхода к исследованию факторов инновационного развития и эффектов концентрации, и определению положительных и отрицательных эффектов концентрации, влияющих на инновационное развитие на региональном уровне в России на основе эконометрического моделирования. В качестве информационной базы исследования использовались официальные данные Росстата РФ по 75 регионам России за период в 20 лет с 2000 по 2019 гг. В качестве зависимой переменной использовался показатель объема инновационных товаров, работ, услуг на 10 тыс. занятых. По итогам эконометрического моделирования определены положительные и отрицательные эффекты концентрации, влияющие на инновационное развитие региональных систем. Полученные результаты исследования могут быть использованы при актуализации инновационных программ и стратегий инновационного развития на региональном уровне
