However, fading support from the main stream industries for analogue recording, makes such a switch inevitable. Moreover, the digital technologies, when applied correctly, allow for a much better accessibility of the recorded information. An international group of leading libraries for the blind, called the Daisy Consortium, has developed a standard that is a strong candidate for the next generation of talking book.
