Editorial: Soil–atmosphere interaction

This themed issue has its origin in the 14th IACMAG conference in Kyoto, Japan where a conference session on this topic was convened. The success of the session and debate caused by the session led to the idea of a special issue published in Environmental Geotechnics. After which, a call was made to the research community for papers.
