PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR SMART BOOK ALPHABET TEMA KEGEMARANKU UNTUK SISWA KELAS I DI SEKOLAH DASAR MUHAMMADIYAH 4 BATU

Research on the development of Smart Book Alphabet teaching materials is motivated by the problems that exist in SD Muhammadiyah 4 Batu, namely teachers have difficulty in the learning process because there are students who are not yet fluent in reading and the unavailability of facilities in the form of special teaching materials to teach early reading which are packaged in thematic learning. especially for students who are not fluent in reading. Development of Smart Book Alphabet Teaching Materials on this My Favorite Theme to produce a product in the form of an A4-sized printed book designed with attractive pictures, colors and shapes and equipped with materials and evaluation questions about beginning reading which are presented in accordance with the material on my favorite theme and adapted to the characteristics and the needs of grade I elementary school students so that it can increase students' interest in learning to read. This research is a type of research and development (research and development) with the ADDIE development model which has 5 stages, such as Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The place of research was carried out at SD Muhammadiyah 4 Batu with research subjects 20 students of grade 1 SD on December 21, 2021 in odd semesters. Data collection techniques are divided into four methods, observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of this research and development show that the Smart Book Alphabet teaching materials, including qualifications, are very feasible to be used in the learning process. This is evidenced by the results of the validation of teaching materials and materials that reach 90% and 85% presentations, and the results of student responses reaching 96% which indicate that the Smart Book Alphabet teaching materials are very interesting to use in the early reading learning process which is presented in accordance with my favorite theme material at lesson 1
