PENGARUH VARIASI pH EKSTRAK KAYU SECANG (Caesalpinia sappan Linn) SEBAGAI PEWARNA ALAMI TERHADAP KUALITAS PREPARAT Hoya diversifolia Blume

The need for quality preparations as a learning resource that is increasing must be accompanied by the quality of the process and results of the preparations. Quality preparations can be realized, through the coloring process on the preparations. The purpose of staining is to differentiate and clarify cells or tissues. Sappan (Caesalpinia sappan L.) is one of the potential plants to be used as a natural dye. The Brazilian pigment is the producer of the red pigment in Sappan wood. The color produced by Sappan wood is influenced by pH. Sappan solution in an acidic solution produces a yellow-orange color, a neutral solution has a red color, and a purple-violet color in a basic solution. This study aimed to analyze the effect of variations in pH of Sappan wood extract (Caesalpinia sappan Linn) on the quality of Hoya diversifolia Blume leaf stomata preparations and described as a source of biology learning. The type of research carried out is True Experimental Research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The research design used is "The Post Test Only Control Group Design. The data analysis technique used the Kruskal Wallis test. The results of this study obtained a Sig value of 0.287> 0.05, then H0 was accepted, therefore the results of the average quality of the Hoya diversifolia Blume leaf stomata preparations there was no significant difference
