The whole work is composed of three parts, the historical, the pedagogical and the research part. The first part of the work, the historical one, is composed of three chapters. The first chapter takes into account the general historical environment concerning the area of Greece during the nineteen-forties. The Second World War, as a continuation of the First World War, expanded to the Balkan Peninsula, including the territories of Greek territory, where the Axis forces were victorious in the period 1940-1941 and occupied these territories, imposing a military occupation. Also, in this chapter of the work is presented the time and presents for both, the Greek-Italian and the Greek-German relations before the start of the war, as well as the formed international geopolitical situation. In this context, we focus on the Greece's involvement in the Second World War, the successful outcome of the operations for the Greek side on the Albanian front, the intervention and invasion of the German military forces in the Balkans and on Greek territory, as well as the surrender of Greek military forces in the Axis powers. Moreover, the formation of the occupying government and the organization of the administration of Greece by the Occupation Forces are presented.The second chapter examines the case of the island of Crete, as a factor in changing the strategic plans of the Axis powers, as well as the preparatory actions of these forces for the attack against the allied forces that had encamped and fortified the island of Crete. Additionally, it presents the plans of attack and defense of the involved forces, the implementation and the outcome of these plans, as well as the factual series of conflicts that followed. Crete, as the last part of the Greek territory, was occupied by the Axis powers after a series of armed conflicts, which lasted ten days, from the 20th to the 31st of May 1941, which were later named and are now known as "The Battle of Crete"».The third chapter deals with the period of military occupation, in which the administrative division of the island is presented, since its eastern side, i.e. the area of Lassithi was occupied by the Italian military forces and its western side, i.e. the areas of Chania, Rethymno and Heraklion were occupied by the German military forces. That period was marked by the acts of resistance and non-compliance of the local population against the Axis powers, as well as by the harsh retaliation in the form of holocausts, imposed by the occupying forces on those who resisted or did not comply.The second part of the work, the pedagogical one, is composed by the forth, the fifth the sixth and seventh chapters. The forth chapter presents the general principals of history. In this context the terms of history, the historiography, the oral history, the local history, the public history and the history as a science are defined. Emphasis also is given to the etymology and the definition of the term ‘history’ and the idea of history. The personal narration as a memory, the memory as a tool of history, the historical background of the oral history, the basic concepts and the evolution of the oral history, are also presented and they are certainly connected with the Greek school reality. Then the meaning of the pedagogical value of the history is given, as well as the content and the process of the oral history. Finally, the thoughts on how to use the technology for recording and preserving the memory for the oral and local history purposes are at the end of this chapter.The fifth chapter is focused on the local history. The definition and the content of the local history and its value in the educational process are presented in more details. Additionally, overviews of the factors that may constrain the educational utilization of local history are described, such as time limits in the school teaching process, geographical limits, stereotypes and localism ideas, plagiarisms and other teaching limiting factors. Finally some ideas concerning the methods of confronting all those above are presented.In continuation, the sixth chapter deals with the didactic of history. The definitions and a general approach on the parameters that determine the didactic of history, as well as the use of history sources in the process of teaching history are given. In this context, the role of the person that is dedicated to teach the history and especially the local and oral history is important and undisputed for the accomplishment of the main objectives of the history didactic process. The public history is also studied as a factor of how it may be related to and interacts with the teaching process of local and oral history.The seventh chapter, which is the last one in the second part, is related to the teaching of history in the school unit, which is considered as an open social system and in the same context, the interdisciplinary sections of history are presented as an educational material in the school unit. Then a timeless approach is taken to the teaching of the history lesson, as well as the teaching of oral and local history. Finally, references are made to the objective purposes of oral and local history and the way in which the period of German occupation in Greece is incorporated as curriculum in the school textbooks.The third part of the work is referred to the research that was accomplished and it is composed by the eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth chapters.The eighth chapter, which is the first chapter of the research part of the work, analyzes the importance of the interview as a tool of both, our qualitative research and as a major source of oral and local history. The criteria used for the selection of the persons to be interviewed are listed, as well as a simple enumeration of the thematic axes of the interviews.In the ninth, tenth and eleventh chapters, having as a main case study the "Battle of Crete" and the period of occupation that followed, the results of the research are presented. These consist of a list of about fifty interviews, which came out from people who experienced the events of that time, and who wanted to narrate about them for the purposes of this research. The interviews have been grouped according to their historical-geography characteristics. Emphasis is given to the main holocausts that occurred in the island of Crete during the german occupation period, that were taken place because of the collaboration of many inhabitants with the British forces found on the island. Additionally, the parameters that are based on the emotional and psychological repercussion in the light of the harsh retaliation imposed by the German occupying forces on the local population are presented. Finally, the aspects of the daily life of the occupation, the causes that led to the resistance and non-compliance of the residents with the orders of the occupation regime, and the consequent emotional burden of this experience are presented through the interviews.The elaboration of ten exemplary lesson plans for the teaching of the oral and local history of the island, for the said period is the culmination of all the research. The specific lesson plans extend to the events of the war and the armed conflicts, to the most important holocausts committed by the German occupation forces at the expense of the local population, to the daily life of the inhabitants under the occupation regime, as well as to express the feelings of the victims of the occupation as well as of the retaliation as the consequences of their non-compliance with the occupation regime.Η όλη εργασία αποτελείται από τρία μέρη, το ιστορικό, το παιδαγωγικό και το ερευνητικό. Το πρώτο μέρος του παρόντος έργου, το ιστορικό, αποτελείται από τρία κεφάλαια. Το πρώτο κεφάλαιο λαμβάνει υπόψη το γενικό ιστορικό περιβάλλον που αφορούσε την περιοχή της Ελλάδας κατά την περίοδο λίγο πριν και λίγο μετά την δεκαετία του 1940. Ο Β΄ Π.Π., ως συνέχεια του Α΄ Π.Π., επεκτάθηκε στη Βαλκανική Χερσόνησο συμπεριλαμβάνοντας και τα εδάφη της Ελληνικής επικράτειας, όπου οι δυνάμεις του Άξονα ήταν νικηφόρες την περίοδο 1940-1941 και κατέλαβαν τα εδάφη αυτά, επιβάλλοντας στρατιωτική κατοχή. Επίσης, σε αυτό το πρώτο κεφάλαιο της εργασίας λαμβάνεται υπόψη το γενικότερο ιστορικό περιβάλλον της εποχής και παρουσιάζονται τόσο οι ελληνοϊταλικές, όσο και οι ελληνογερμανικές σχέσεις πριν από την έναρξη του πολέμου, καθώς και η διαμορφωθείσα διεθνής γεωπολιτική κατάσταση. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό τοποθετείται η εμπλοκή της Ελλάδος στον Β΄ Π.Π., η επιτυχής έκβαση των επιχειρήσεων για την ελληνική πλευρά στο μέτωπο της Αλβανίας, η επέμβαση και εισβολή των γερμανικών στρατιωτικών δυνάμεων στα Βαλκάνια και στην Ελλάδα, καθώς και η παράδοση των ελληνικών στρατιωτικών δυνάμεων στις δυνάμεις του άξονα. Παρουσιάζεται επιπλέον, ο σχηματισμός της κατοχικής κυβέρνησης και η οργάνωση της διοίκησης της Ελλάδος από τις Δυνάμεις κατοχής. Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο εξετάζεται η περίπτωση της νήσου Κρήτης, ως παράγοντας αλλαγής των στρατηγικών σχεδίων των δυνάμεων του άξονα, καθώς και οι προπαρασκευαστικές ενέργειες των δυνάμεων αυτών για την επίθεση κατά των συμμαχικών δυνάμεων που είχαν στρατοπεδεύσει και είχαν οχυρωθεί επί της νήσου Κρήτης. Παρουσιάζονται επίσης τα σχέδια επίθεσης και άμυνας των εμπλεκομένων δυνάμεων, η εφαρμογή και η έκβαση των σχεδίων αυτών, καθώς και η γεγονοτολογική σειρά των συγκρούσεων που ακολούθησαν. Η Κρήτη, ως το τελευταίο τμήμα της Ελληνικής επικράτειας κατελήφθη από τις δυνάμεις του άξονα μετά από μια σειρά ένοπλων συγκρούσεων, που διήρκεσαν δέκα ημέρες, από την 20η έως την 31η Μαΐου 1941, που ονομάστηκαν αργότερα και είναι γνωστές πλέον ως «Η Μάχη της Κρήτης». Στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο ακολουθεί η περίοδος της στρατιωτικής κατοχής, στην οποία παρουσιάζεται η διοικητική διχοτόμηση της νήσου, αφού η ανατολική πλευρά αυτής, δηλαδή η περιοχές του Λασιθίου, καταλαμβάνονται από τις ιταλικές στρατιωτικές δυνάμεις κατοχής και η δυτική πλευρά αυτής, δηλαδή οι περιοχές Χανίων, Ρεθύμνης και Ηρακλείου καταλαμβάνονται από τις γερμανικές στρατιωτικές δυνάμεις κατοχής. Η κατοχή που ακολούθησε στο νησί της Κρήτης σηματοδοτήθηκε από τις πράξεις αντίστασης και μη συμμόρφωσης του τοπικού πληθυσμού κατά των δυνάμεων του άξονα, καθώς επίσης και από τα σκληρά αντίποινα με τη μορφή ολοκαυτωμάτων, που επιβλήθηκαν από τις δυνάμεις κατοχής σε όσους αντιστάθηκαν ή δεν συμμορφώθηκαν. Το δεύτερο μέρος της εργασίας, το παιδαγωγικό, αποτελείται από το τέταρτο, το πέμπτο το έκτο και το έβδομο κεφάλαιο. Στο τέταρτο κεφάλαιο παρουσιάζονται οι γενικές αρχές της ιστορίας. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό ορίζονται οι όροι της ιστορίας, της ιστοριογραφίας, της προφορικής ιστορίας, της τοπικής ιστορίας, της δημόσιας ιστορίας και της ιστορίας ως επιστήμης. Έμφαση δίνεται επίσης στην ετυμολογία και τον ορισμό του όρου «ιστορία» και την ιδέα της ιστορίας. Παρουσιάζονται επίσης η προσωπική αφήγηση ως μνήμη, η μνήμη ως εργαλείο της ιστορίας, το ιστορικό υπόβαθρο της προφορικής ιστορίας, οι βασικές έννοιες και η εξέλιξη της προφορικής ιστορίας, οι οποίες βεβαίως συνδέονται με την ελληνική σχολική πραγματικότητα. Στη συνέχεια δίνεται το νόημα της παιδαγωγικής αξίας της ιστορίας και της προφορικής ιστορίας, καθώς και το περιεχόμενο και η διαδικασία της προφορικής ιστορίας. Τέλος, παρατίθενται οι σκέψεις σχετικά με τον τρόπο χρήσης της τεχνολογίας για την καταγραφή και τη διατήρηση της μνήμης για σκοπούς προφορικής και τοπικής ιστορίας. Το πέμπτο κεφάλαιο επικεντρώνεται στην τοπική ιστορία. Δίνεται ο ορισμός και το περιεχόμενο της τοπικής ιστορίας, καθώς και η αξία της στην εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία. Επιπρόσθετα, παρουσιάζονται ορισμένα προβλήματα που αφορούν την εκπαιδευτική αξιοποίηση της τοπικής ιστορίας, όπως χρονικά όρια στη σχολική διδακτική διαδικασία, γεωγραφικά όρια, στερεότυπα και τοπικιστικές ιδέες, λογοκλοπές και άλλοι περιοριστικοί παράγοντες διδασκαλίας, καθώς και κάποιες μέθοδοι αντιμετώπισης όλων των παραπάνω προβλημάτων. Στη συνέχεια, το έκτο κεφάλαιο πραγματεύεται τη διδακτική της ιστορίας. Δίνονται οι ορισμοί και μια γενική προσέγγιση για τις παραμέτρους που καθορίζουν τη διδακτική της ιστορίας, καθώς και τη χρήση των ιστορικών πηγών στη διαδικασία διδασκαλίας της ιστορίας. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό, ο ρόλος του διδάσκοντος την ιστορία και ιδιαίτερα της τοπική και προφορική ιστορία είναι σημαντικός και αδιαμφισβήτητος για την επίτευξη των βασικών αντικειμενικών σκοπών της διδασκαλίας της ιστορίας. Επίσης, γίνεται μνεία της δημόσιας ιστορίας, καθώς και πώς μπορεί αυτή να σχετίζεται και να αλληλεπιδρά με την διδακτική διαδικασία της τοπικής και προφορικής ιστορίας. Στο έβδομο κεφάλαιο μελετάται η σχολική μονάδα ως ένα ανοικτό κοινωνικό σύστημα, στο οποίο εντάσσεται η διδασκαλία της ιστορίας, καθώς επίσης γίνεται και μια αναγωγή όλων αυτών στην ελληνική σχολική πραγματικότητα. Επίσης, γίνεται μια διαχρονική προσέγγιση της διδασκαλίας του μαθήματος της ιστορίας, ενώ στη συνέχεια παρουσιάζονται οι διαθεματικές ενότητες της ιστορίας ως εκπαιδευτική ύλη στο Σχολείο. Τέλος, γίνονται αναφορές στους αντικειμενικούς σκοπούς της ιστορίας και μελετάται ο τρόπος που ενσωματώνεται ως εκπαιδευτική ύλη στα σχολικά εγχειρίδια στην Ελλάδα η περίοδος της γερμανικής κατοχής Στο όγδοο κεφάλαιο, το οποίο είναι το πρώτο κεφάλαιο του ερευνητικού μέρους της εργασίας, αναλύεται η σημασία της συνέντευξης ως εργαλείου, τόσο της ποιοτικής μας έρευνας, όσο και ως ενός κύριου παράγοντα πηγής της προφορικής και τοπικής ιστορίας. Παρατίθενται τα κριτήρια που χρησιμοποιήθηκαν για την επιλογή των προσώπων προς συνέντευξη, καθώς επίσης γίνεται και μια απλή απαρίθμηση των θεματικών αξόνων των συνεντεύξεων. Στο ένατο, δέκατο και ενδέκατο κεφάλαιο, έχοντας ως αφόρμηση την «Μάχη της Κρήτης» και την περίοδο της κατοχής που ακολούθησε, παρατίθενται τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας. Αυτά εδράζονται στην παράθεση πενήντα περίπου συνεντεύξεων, που προέρχονται από άτομα που βίωσαν τα γεγονότα της εποχής εκείνης, και τα οποία θέλησαν να τα αφηγηθούν για τους σκοπούς της εν λόγω έρευνας. Οι συνεντεύξεις έχουν ομαδοποιηθεί ανάλογα με την ιστορικογεωγραφία τους, τόσο γεγονοτολογικά με την σύμπραξη πολλών κατοίκων με τις βρετανικές δυνάμεις που βρέθηκαν στο νησί και δίνοντας έμφαση στα κυριότερα ολοκαυτώματα που συνέβησαν στην Κρήτη την περίοδο της Κατοχής, όσο και με βάση το συναισθηματικό και ψυχολογικό κριτήριο, υπό το πρίσμα των σκληρών αντιποίνων που επέβαλαν οι γερμανικές δυνάμεις κατοχής στον τοπικό πληθυσμό. Επίσης, μέσα από τις συνεντεύξεις παρουσιάζονται οι παράμετροι της καθημερινότητας της κατοχής, τα αίτια που οδήγησαν στην αντίσταση και τη μη συμμόρφωση των κατοίκων με τις εντολές του καθεστώτος κατοχής, και το συνεπαγόμενο συναισθηματικό φορτίο του βιώματος αυτού. Το απαύγασμα της όλης έρευνας συνίσταται στην εκπόνηση δέκα παραδειγματικών σχεδίων μαθήματος για τη διδασκαλία της προφορικής και τοπικής ιστορίας της νήσου, αναφορικά με την Μάχη της Κρήτης και την κατοχή που ακολούθησε. Τα συγκεκριμένα σχέδια μαθήματος, εκτείνονται στα γεγονότα της μάχης και των ενόπλων συγκρούσεων, στα σημαντικότερα ολοκαυτώματα που διεπράχθησαν από τις γερμανικές δυνάμεις κατοχής σε βάρος του τοπικού πληθυσμού, στην καθημερινότητα των κατοίκων υπό το καθεστώς κατοχής, καθώς και την διατύπωση των συναισθημάτων όσων βίωσαν τα γεγονότα της κατοχής, των αντιποίνων και των συνεπειών της μη συμμόρφωσής τους με το καθεστώς κατοχής.RIEPILOGO L'intero lavoro si compone di tre parti, la parte storica, la parte pedagogica e la parte di ricerca. La prima parte dell'opera, quella storica, si compone di tre capitoli. Il primo capitolo prende in considerazione l'ambiente storico generale riguardante l'area della Grecia durante gli anni Quaranta. La seconda guerra mondiale, come continuazione della prima guerra mondiale, si estese alla penisola balcanica, includendo i territori del territorio greco, dove le forze dell'Asse vinsero nel periodo 1940-1941 e occuparono questi territori, imponendo un'occupazione militare. Inoltre, in questo capitolo dell'opera viene presentato il tempo ei presenti per entrambi, le relazioni greco-italiane e greco-tedesche prima dell'inizio della guerra, nonché la situazione geopolitica internazionale formatasi. In questo contesto, ci concentriamo sul coinvolgimento della Grecia nella seconda guerra mondiale, sul buon esito delle operazioni per la parte greca sul fronte albanese, sull'intervento e sull'invasione delle forze militari tedesche nei Balcani e sul territorio greco, nonché come la resa delle forze militari greche nelle potenze dell'Asse. Viene inoltre presentata la formazione del governo occupante e l'organizzazione dell'amministrazione della Grecia da parte delle forze di occupazione. Il secondo capitolo esamina il caso dell'isola di Creta, come fattore di cambiamento dei piani strategici delle potenze dell'Asse, nonché le azioni preparatorie di queste forze per l'attacco contro le forze alleate che avevano accampato e fortificato l'isola di Creta . Inoltre, presenta i piani di attacco e di difesa delle forze coinvolte, l'attuazione e l'esito di questi piani, nonché la serie di fatti di conflitti che ne sono seguiti. Creta, in quanto ultima parte del territorio greco, fu occupata dalle potenze dell'Asse dopo una serie di conflitti armati, durati dieci giorni, dal 20 al 31 maggio 1941, successivamente denominati e oggi conosciuti come "La Battaglia di Creta"». Il terzo capitolo tratta del periodo dell'occupazione militare, in cui viene presentata la divisione amministrativa dell'isola, dal momento che il suo versante orientale, cioè l'area di Lassithi era occupata dalle forze militari italiane e il suo versante occidentale, cioè le zone di Chania, Rethymno e Heraklion furono occupate dalle forze militari tedesche. Quel periodo fu segnato dagli atti di resistenza e inosservanza della popolazione locale nei confronti delle potenze dell'Asse, nonché dalla dura rappresaglia sotto forma di olocausti, imposti dalle forze di occupazione a coloro che resistevano o non obbedivano. La seconda parte dell'opera, quella pedagogica, è composta dal quarto, quinto, sesto e settimo capitolo. Il quarto capitolo presenta i principi generali della storia. In questo contesto si definiscono i termini della storia, della storiografia, della storia orale, della storia locale, della storia pubblica e della storia come scienza. Viene data enfasi anche all'etimologia e alla definizione del termine "storia" e all'idea di storia. Vengono inoltre presentati la narrazione personale come memoria, la memoria come strumento della storia, il retroterra storico della storia orale, i concetti di base e l'evoluzione della storia orale, che sono certamente collegati alla realtà della scuola greca. Viene poi dato il significato del valore pedagogico della storia, così come il contenuto e il processo della storia orale. Infine, alla fine di questo capitolo si trovano le riflessioni su come utilizzare la tecnologia per la registrazione e la conservazione della memoria ai fini della storia orale e locale. Il quinto capitolo è incentrato sulla storia locale. La definizione e il contenuto della storia locale e il suo valore nel processo educativo sono presentati in modo più dettagliato. Inoltre, vengono descritte una panoramica dei fattori che possono limitare l'utilizzo educativo della storia locale, come i limiti di tempo nel processo di insegnamento scolastico, i limiti geografici, gli stereotipi e le idee di localismo, i plagi e altri fattori limitanti l'insegnamento. Infine vengono presentate alcune idee riguardanti le modalità di confronto con tutte quelle di cui sopra. In seguito, il sesto capitolo tratta della didattica della storia. Vengono fornite le definizioni e un approccio generale sui parametri che determinano la didattica della storia, nonché l'uso delle fonti storiche nel processo di insegnamento della storia. In questo contesto, il ruolo della persona che si dedica all'insegnamento della storia e soprattutto della storia locale e orale è importante e indiscusso per il raggiungimento degli obiettivi principali del processo didattico di storia. La storia pubblica è anche studiata come fattore di come può essere collegata e interagire con il processo di insegnamento della storia locale e orale. Il settimo capitolo, che è l'ultimo della seconda parte, è relativo all'insegnamento della storia nell'unità scolastica, considerata come un sistema sociale aperto e, nello stesso contesto, le sezioni interdisciplinari della storia si presentano come un materiale nell'unità scolastica. Quindi viene adottato un approccio senza tempo all'insegnamento della lezione di storia, nonché all'insegnamento della storia orale e locale. Infine, si fa riferimento agli obiettivi oggettivi della storia orale e locale e al modo in cui il periodo dell'occupazione tedesca in Grecia è incorporato come curriculum nei libri di testo scolastici. La terza parte dell'opera è riferita alla ricerca compiuta ed è composta dai capitoli ottavo, nono, decimo, undicesimo e dodicesimo. L'ottavo capitolo, che è il primo capitolo della parte di ricerca del lavoro, analizza l'importanza dell'intervista come strumento sia della nostra ricerca qualitativa che come una delle principali fonti di storia orale e locale. Vengono elencati i criteri utilizzati per la selezione delle persone da intervistare, nonché una semplice enumerazione degli assi tematici delle interviste. Nei capitoli nono, decimo e undicesimo, avendo come caso di studio principale la "Battaglia di Creta" e il periodo di occupazione che ne seguì, vengono presentati i risultati della ricerca. Si tratta di un elenco di una cinquantina di interviste, uscite da persone che hanno vissuto gli eventi di quel tempo, e che hanno voluto raccontarli ai fini di questa ricerca.
