CSCW or Computer Supported Cooperative Work is concerned with providing environments that improve cooperation and coordination among a group of people. Currently software development is often a group activity and so is likely to benefit from CSCW techniques. This paper supports this hypothesis by describing a number of CSCW applications and illustrating how they may be used at various stages within the software development process
