This paper aims to investigate some teachers' views on the use of fiction as a method in teaching to develop and strengthen language development in Swedish as a second language among students in municipal education in Swedish for immigrants. This is investigated through qualitative interviews with three teachers based on semi-structured questions. The questions are about what the teachers 'experiences and thoughts are about working with fiction to develop and strengthen the student's second language development and if and if so in what ways the students' multilingualism is used.
