A female success The debate over female succession to the throne in the 17th and 20th centuries The purpose of the essay was to analyse how the discussion and attitude was towards femalesuccession to the throne before her accession to the throne. The timeperiod I chose toinvestigate is the 17th centyry, the time before Kristina´s accession to the throne, and the 20thcentury until 1980, when our current succession order came into force, which concerns ourCrown Princess Victoria. That way I saw if there was any change in opinions regarding thefact that is a woman who assumes the throne.
