The drug-human serum albumin binding interaction was evaluated on a stationary phase immobilized with human serum albumin using a mixture of phosphate buffer (pH 7.0) and acetonitrile modifier as mobile phase. The 33 compounds that have a wide structural and therapeutic diversity were analyzed by per- forming a large number of experiments. The interaction mechanism was interpreted based on: i) retention characteristics of structurally related compounds, ii) retention modeling, iii) quantitative structure reten- tion relationship (QSRR), and iv) molecular docking.
