The black soybean (Glycine soya Sieb. & Zucc) is a species of legume native of East Asia, widely grown for its edible bean, which has numerous uses. Furthermore, it is used as a raw material in the soy sauce industry, and its protein and antioxidant content is preferred to yellow soybeans. This study was conducted to evaluate the in vitro callus growth pattern of four varieties of black soybean grown in various combinations of cytokinins and 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D), and was performed at the Agronomy Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, the University of Bengkulu.
