The consensus problem of network-based heterogeneous multi-agent systems considering communication network induced time delays is evaluated in this paper. In this regard, two efficient adaptive event-triggered based approaches are developed for multi-agent systems featuring communication network delays. Moreover, an event-triggered interval is considered as a specific delay and considered into the unified round trip time (RTT) delay. Subsequently, an efficient optimal predictive-based coordination control scheme is proposed to compensate the non-ideal behaviour of communication channels with induced delays and realize the coordination control among the agents.
