The amino acid content of benthic growths of algaeand sediments (peloids) in hypersaline water bodies has been investigated and analised for Berdiansk Spit and Arabatskaya Spit (northwestern coast of the Asow Sea, Ukraine). The content of amino acid of benthic macroskopic growths of algae correlates with amino acids of corresponding peloids within 93-98 %. Accumulation of amino acids in peloids depends on the reduclive-oxidative conditions in hypersaline water bodies, including the amount of biomass and species of benthic macroskopic growths of algae
