Succeeding the results of an earlier study into pig manure valorization in the context of the NL Next Level manure valorization project, a number of in-depth studies have been carried out. An emission model and a mass balance and cost estimate for manure processing have been drawn up for this purpose. Scenarios have been calculated, mainly looking at different housing systems (faster manure disposal, emission-reducing measures and separation of urine and faeces) and the effects on ammonia and greenhouse gas emissions and the feasibility of manure processing
