Introduction: Acute hemiparesis, weakness of either half of the body is a common nonspecific neurological response of the central nervous system to a varying of infective/non-infective aetiologies noted among admitted children. There is a paucity of data on etiologies of this condition, from this part of the Indian subcontinent, so this study was planned to describe the etiological profile of hemiparesis in children. Method: This prospective observational study was done from September 2017 to August 2018 at a tertiary care teaching hospital in northern India.
