BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: In our country the most common cause of exudative pleural effusion is tuberculosis pleural effusion. Diagnosis of tuberculosis pleurisy is difficult because of its nonspecific clinical presentation and insufficient efficiency of traditional diagnostic methods.
