THE EPIDEMIOLOGICAL SURVEILLANCE AND THE CONTROL OF INFECTIONS DISEASES

It is a synthesis article which contains the results of scientifi c studies realized by the author in frame of the research topic „The optimization of epidemiological surveillance and the prognosis of infectious diseases”. In the result of the studies were developed the functional models of epidemiological situations and the prognostic models on the epidemiological situations in function of the evolution of the determinant factors and, for the fi rst time, were built the original models of the epidemiological surveillance system and control of anthrax, rabies and leptospirosis, the typical diseases for Moldova, was formulated the concept of epidemiological surveillance and developed the concept of „Epidemiological surveillance: the principles and system of functioning at the national level”, the concept of „Ecological Epidemiology.” Based on the study results on epidemiology of the nosocomial infections was elaborated the „Guide of the surveillance and nosocomial infection control”
