CONTRIBUTION OF SCIENCE AND INNOVATION IN STRENGTHENING FORESTRY IN MOLDOVA

Rampant deforestation of forests for industrial, agricultural or grazing has caused very serious problems. Troubleshooting the recorded problems in the forestry sector of Moldova is essentially linked to the implementation of research results. The scientifi c priorities are targeted at strengthening the forest sector: improving policy and institutional framework, deepening of basic research and implementing expansion of innovative results, expanding regeneration technologies for forests and for lands with forest vegetation, strengthening institutional capacity, enhancement of the intellectual, technical and material potential, oriented to the recognition of national and international scientifi c community, deepening and implementation of the research in phytosanitary expertise
