STRATEGY OF INNOVATION

Within national policies, building an innovation economy and sustaining the Research and Innovation area have become key priorities. In order to defi ne future public policies in the R&D sphere and identify key activities, the Innovation Strategy of the Republic of Moldova for 2012-2020 has been developed. The document outlines the objectives and measures to be implemented towards creating an innovative environment in Republic of Moldova, which would enable favorable conditions for the creation, dissemination and implementation of innovations, both in terms of products and processes, in all areas of economic activity. The strategy presents a medium-term analysis of the innovation system of the Republic of Moldova and assesses the current situation and development potential by providing a complex analysis of its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks; identifi es priority areas in the fi eld of innovation and key sectors of the national economy which require innovative activities, and defi nes the measures to be taken to facilitate the development of innovative capacity in our countr
