ANALISIS WACANA PEMBERITAAN KASUS REYNHARD SINAGA DI MEDIA ONLINE REPUBLIKA.CO.ID DAN KOMPAS ONLINE.COM

News of criminality cases in Manchester involving a WNI named Reynhard Sinaga being a fascination for various mass media. Many news has been published by various mass media sources especially online media. The news shown has a significant difference. It is certainly influenced by ideological differences from each mass media. Since taking the case in early January 2020 online media of Republika.co.id and Kompas.com make the case a headline in their respective news portal. This research aims to find out how the online media of Republika.co.id and Kompas.com in reciting the case. As well as how the differences in construction of discourse built by each of those media. This research used qualitative descriptive methods. Data analysis used in an analysis of Van Dijk discourse that emphasizes social context and aspects of language in a media. The data collection techniques used are documentation of screencapt on Reynhard Sinaga’s case news in online media of Republika.co.id and Kompas.com period 1st to 31st January 2020. From the results of research that have been conducted, researchers found that construction of discourse built by online media of Republika.co.id is the connection between the crimes Reynhard Sinaga has committed to the deviation of sexual orientation owned. Reverse comparison to the construction of discourse built by online media of Kompas.com, where the Kompas.com emphasizes that Reynhard Sinaga’s sexual orientation is not the matter of all the crimes that have been commited
