The Brazilian flounder Paralichthys orbignyanus is an important fisheries resource and it is being considered for aquaculture. This study evaluated the effect of temperature on juvenile flounder. Fish (32.3 ± 1.6 mg) were reared at 17, 20, 23 and 26°C, with duplicate tanks for each temperature. Every two weeks, during 56 days, all fish were measured and weighed. Statistical treatment of results was done by One-Way ANOVA followed by the Tukey’s Test, with 95% significance. Survival was 100% in all treatments, suggesting that Brazilian flounder is eurythermic soon after completing metamorphosis.
