This study aims to examine and analyze performance using the variable competence and compensation as a determinant at the Islamic University in Kediri Kadiri using explanatory research approach. The results showed that: (1). Lecturer’s Competence at the Islamic University Kadiri affects the financial compensation received; (2). Lecturer’s Competenceaffects the non-financial compensation received; (3). Lecturer’s Competence affects the performance; (4). Lecturer financial compensation received affects the performance; (5).
