KALENDER BALI DALAM KEHIDUPAN UMAT HINDU DI BALI (Perspektif Pendidikan Sosio-Religius)

Kalender Bali used for organizing Hindus’s life to be more regular and harmonious, because contains a variety of aspects of the socio-religious life such as calculations of time, divination of days (ala-ayuning dewasa), human characters prediction, the celebration of holy days. The essential of the Kalender Bali is wariga which has three aspects: the calculation of the time aspect, the prediction of doing certain activities aspect , and the great day ceremony aspect.In fact, there are still many people who do not know and understand about the function and the meaning of this literary work, especially for the young generation. It This becomes an indicator of the lack of concern from among the public, especially the young generation to preserve Kalender Bali. Onthis research are using theories: Hermeneutik is atheory used to interpret language contained in the text of the Kalender Bali related to the essence and its meaning in the life of the socio-religious. Structural functional theory is a guidance of the author to examine the structure of the Calendar in the socio-religious life, and value theory is to guide researcher in understanding the value of local wisdom in the Kalender Bali in order to provide education of Hindus. This research is a qualitative research that contains qualitative data and analysis. As for the primary data source is the text of the Kalender Bali, which is supplemented with a secondary data are from books, lontar and literature reviews .
