PROSESI TRADISI NGAMBENG DALAM UPACARA DEWA YAJNA DI PURA SAMUANTIGA DESA BEDULU

Traditions are unique and systemic in shaping children's character worthy of being a research study. This unique trend is in Bedulu Village, Blahbatuh District, Gianyar Regency. There is a tradition of ritual at Samuan Tiga Temple which is called the Ngambeng tradition. The Ngambeng tradition is a form of ceremony with the aim of providing character education and education to elementary school children in getting ritual facilities such as bananas, leaves, jackfruit, papaya, coconut, young coconut that has a little or does not have flesh fruit yet (klungah), sugar cane, chicken, duck, etc. This research is a qualitative field research which analyzes the functional approach. What is unique is that the Ngambeng tradition is carried out spontaneously by elementary school children to prepare the ceremonial facilities for fifteen days before the Dewa Yajna ceremony is held at Samuan Tiga temple when Ngambeng is held without coercion and without being coordinated either by parents or by agencies on local customs. The Ngambeng tradition is also considered to be the most important activity for obtaining safety, because of that the village community is as if bound by an obligation to participate in the implementation of this tradition.
