Penggunaan cerpen untuk pembelajaran di sekolah merupakan media pembelajaran yang efektif bagi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana persepsi siswa terhadap penggunaan Cerpen untuk mengembangkan kosakata. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Regina Caeli Cileungsi pada bulan April 2020. Penelitian ini melibatkan 59 responden untuk mengisi kuesioner online. Responden diambil dari siswa kelas VIII. Data kuantitatif dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa di SMP Regina Caeli Cileungsi menyatakan bahwa penggunaan cerita pendek sangat membantu dalam mengembangkan kosakata.
